TEAM CONTACTS ECT

2023-11-15

TEAM CONTACTS, SCORE SHEETS, and ECT.

Please submit to MAHSHLscores@gmail.com any and all coaches and team managers email addresses for both Varsity and Jr Varsity as soon as your able. We need to update all contact information.

Lastly, please make sure when filling out official score sheets to use bold and legible writting, name of "Official Scorer", and goalie stats*. Some of your score keepers have exquisite penmanship. It can be difficult to read with the combination the camera angle and writting. Please lay flat and turn the camera/phone longways (landscape photo) to try and get the best possible photo. Please add the date and level in the email heading.

* Its understood that counting proper shots on goal can be troublesome. Please do your best to be honest for both goaltenders. Its advised to count shots as a team effort. Have the penality box attendants and/or those with you in the score box collaborate to agree on shots. A "shot on goal" is defined as "a shot that will enter the goal if it is not stopped by the goaltender". If a puck hits the pipe(s), not a shot on goal. It deflects in, good shot on goal. If a puck strikes the goalie (within the goal opening) then hits the pipe(s) and does not go in the net, good shot. If a goalie covers a puck for a whistle outside of the opening of the goal (i.e. the puck is wide and would not have scored a point) no shot on goal, Any goal counted by the referee is counted as a shot on goal. Time in/out. If a goalie change takes place. Note the time and period.  A few questions have arose the past few weeks about this topic.

Thank you all for what you do to help the league and these players!!! Any questions please reach out to MAHSHLscores@gmail.com
